  Illinois DNR Policies and Regulations 

Hunting and trapping are controlled through strict, scientifically based policies and regulations.

Illinois DNR policies provide a general plan of action for agency management programs. Regulations provide a legal framework with which to implement these policies. Conservation police officers enforce regulations.
