District Field Offices
The Division of Oil and Gas has two field offices with its headquarters located in Springfield. Each office is responsible for its district's inspection of oil and gas wells, and Class II injection wells, and witness and supervise a wide variety of activities associated with the drilling, construction, operation, testing, temporary abandonment, and plugging of wells. The district offices also supervise the cleanup of crude oil and saltwater spills at crude oil production facilities, and enforce state regulations for the oil and gas industry.
