TRAINING AND TESTING
 The Mine Safety and Training Division offers free training for individuals interested in obtaining a blaster's license and/or certificate or an explosives license.
All individuals whose duties include the direct supervision of blasting operations at surface coal and non-coal mining operations are required to possess a blaster's license or certificate. Individuals who intend to acquire, store, use, possess, transfer and dispose of explosive materials are required, with limited exceptions, to obtain an explosives license.
