Want more information on activities and programs geared towards women and the outdoors? Check out the National Wild Turkey Federation, Women in the Outdoors (WITO) program. WITO events are offered throughout the state ranging from one day to full weekend programs. The list of events is continually updated throughout the year. If you are interested in attending an event in your area, please check the website periodically for the updated list of events.

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources, in partnership with the National Wild Turkey Federation, offer several WITO events at Illinois state parks. These programs utilize resources from both organizations in order to provide even more outdoor activities, instruction, and experiences for women.

In addition, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources offers Wingshooting Clinics for Women. More information is available on the Wingshooting website.

The National Rifle Association offers wild game hunts and target shooting opportunities to women through their Women On Target program. For more information, log onto www.nrahq.org/women/wot.asp.
