The access area located on W.D. Boyce Memorial Dr. provides parking for eight vehicles. Water and restroom facilities are not available at this site.

From Rte. 6 turn south on W.D. Boyce Memorial Dr. Proceed south on Boyce Memorial for two blocks, the access area is located on the right.
I&M Canal Locks 11 & 12
Canal locks 11 & 12 are located between the access area on W.D. Boyce Memorial Dr. and Buffalo Rock State Park on the Illinois & Michigan Canal State Trail. These historic locks raised and lowered boats to the appropriate water level on their journey between LaSalle/Peru and Chicago. The locks were built of solid limestone and hydraulic cement found in the area was used as mortar.
