SITE REGULATIONS - GENERAL
- Severe weather and safety
conditions can result in closing all or part of Anderson Lake SFWA.
- It will be unlawful to
possess or consume alcoholic beverages while hunting in the area.
- Hunters under 16 years
of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
SITE REGULATIONS - UPLAND
AND FOREST WILDLIFE
- All hunters are
required to check in and out at the sign in box of check station.
- All hunting will
be by shotgun or bow and arrow (except for night furbearer . 22 rimfire is
allowed)
- Deer hunters will
have access limited to river or walk in only during the waterfowl season.
Lake access will be prohibited.
- Any tree stand
must be portable and must be removed from the tree at the end of the day's
hunt. Deer Bow and Arrow does not close during firearm deer season, Blaze
Orange clothing is required.
- Only steel shot,
size 6 or smaller may be used for dove hunting. Shooting hours are noon until
5pm, Sept. 1 through Sept. 5, Statewide hours after that.
- Hunters engaged
in quail, rabbit, and pheasant hunting must wear a cap and upper garment of
blaze orange of at least 400 square inches.
- Turkey-Spring firearm
is permitted. Archery ONLY in the Fall. Statewide seasons, hours and permits
apply. High water may result in closing the area to all hunting, especially
Spring Turkey hunting.
SITE REGULATIONS
- WATERFOWL
- All hunting will
be from registered blinds and staked sites. Hunters must occupy sites within
(1) hour after registering at the check station. All hunting will cease at
1:00 PM.
- Upon vacating the
blind sites, hunters must report to the check station within (1) hour. Hunters
are required to check self out and record harvest at the box located outside
of office.
- All parties must
hunt over a minimum of 12 decoys of at least standard size.
- The site will be
open to any early teal and goose hunting seasons, where posted, that
occur before duck season and closed for any seasons that occur after duck
season.
- The lake will be
closed to boating and boat fishing 7 days prior to and including the regular
waterfowl season, except for legal waterfowl hunting. Except where posted,
electronic trolling motors only.
- Early goose and
teal hunters are not restricted to blind sites.
- All hunters using
this area must report to the check station to complete information cards and/or
participate in draw for blind before procedding to sites.
- Registered builders
(or partners desiring to claim their blinds) must report to the check station
at least one (1) hour prior to shooting time each day. Blinds not claimed,
West Point Waterfowl Unit Walk-In, or Boat Blind Sites will be assigned by
daily draw. Up to 11:00 AM.
