Instructions for Using the Biodiversity of Illinois CD-ROM Series Index
Instructions
for Using the Biodiversity of Illinois CD-ROM Series Index
The accompanying index contains all of the species and
habitats found on the Biodiversity of Illinois CD-ROMs. The index may
be searched by scrolling through the pages or by using the Edit function on
your browser. Select Edit then "Find in page" or a similar wording. A box will
appear on your screen into which you may type a word that the browser will search
for in the document. If you select to search for a very general term, like "bird"
you will need to repeatedly click on the "Find next" button until all matching
terms are found.
You may search the index for common name, scientific
name and some general terms (amphibian, animal, bird, crustacean, endangered,
exotic, fish, fungus, insect, invertebrate, mammal, microscopic, moneran, nonnative,
plant, protist, reptile, sponge, threatened, tree, vertebrate, worm). The index
is not meant to be a guide to all the materials on the CD-ROMs. It will show
you which species and habitats are available on the CDs.
